Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to join the NorthPointe Occupational Therapy team. The role focuses on evaluation and treatment of hand and upper-ext extremity conditions in an outpatient setting.

Shift: 1st, 8am - 4:30 pm (Negotiable); Hours per week: 40; Department: NorthPointe Occupational Therapy. You will collaborate with physicians and therapists to restore function and independence for patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Certificate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6-9 month internship in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Responds to referral and schedules patient according to department policies and procedures.
• Evaluates patient and develops goals and treatment plan.
• Implements and coordinates Occupational Therapy treatment within the overall treatment plan, coordinating care with other professionals as needed.
• Reviews plan of care and progresses or adjusts program as appropriate.
• Informs, counsels and consults with patient’s family, case managers, industries, etc.
• Documents patient data and department statistics according to department policies.
• Provides adaptive equipment or assistive devices to increase independence.
• Plans discharge with the team and provides home program if necessary.
• Educates patients and families about functional outcomes and abilities.
