Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Certified Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic center. You will evaluate, treat, and discharge hand therapy patients with evidence-based plans and supervise aides, advancing client relations with partner facilities.

You must be a graduate of an accredited OT program with active national registration and state licensure, CPR certified, and a Certified Hand Therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active national registration and state licensure required at start.
• CPR certification required.
• Certified Hand Therapist credential.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and communicate high-quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients; expand client relations with facilities and staff.
• Stay current with Occupational Therapy research and apply evidence-based practice.

Occupational Therapist - Certified Hand Therapist

Location

Tampa, FL

Schedule

Full Time Monday-Friday. Up to 3 evenings until 7pm.

Compensation

Starting at $75,000+/year, based on experience

Select Physical Therapy is hiring a full-time Certified Hand Therapist - Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center. We treat a wide range of upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, and post‑op fractures. Splinting experience is preferred.

You’ll work in a well‑equipped center alongside top hand surgeons, using evidence‑based practices and individualized care plans.

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re‑evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active national registration and state licensure (required at start)
