Gill GMC in Madera seeks a Certified General Motors Automotive Transmission Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain GM transmissions and related systems. Compensation is hourly, based on certifications and experience, with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

The role includes performing tune-ups, brake service, engine work, and preventive maintenance, while upholding safety practices and maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• A valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
• ASE certification in at least two categories preferred.
• Service Master Technician requires a minimum of 3 years experience in an automotive repair shop.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with automotive inquiries and repair needs.
• Perform automotive repair services, including tune ups, brake service, steering & suspension, and engine rebuilding.
• Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire balancing & mounting, and fluid checks & changes.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle automotive systems including brakes, transmission, exhaust, heating & air conditioning, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
• Keep shop floor and work area clean.
• Follow established safety guidelines and procedures.

Certified General Motors Automotive Transmission Technician wanted at Gill GMC in Madera.

Pay range is $32 - $50 per hour Flat Rate Pay and depends on certifications and experience levels.
