Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely transport debris, pallets, trash, cardboard, and wood panels from inside facilities to exterior disposal areas. This is a 6-week assignment with Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

You will operate forklifts, maintain clean work areas, follow safety procedures and PPE, and report issues to supervisors. Pay is $21 per hour; benefits follow ABM standards.

Qualifications

• Current forklift certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year forklift operating experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
• Reliable attendance with overtime flexibility.

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely transporting large debris, including empty pallets, trash, cardboard, and wood panels, from inside the facilities to the designated exterior disposal areas. When large debris loads are not scheduled, the operator will also be responsible for maintaining the surrounding areas by sweeping, organizing, and ensuring the work areas remain clean and free of debris. Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pay: $21 The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Qualifications

• Current forklift certification required (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other applicable equipment).
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to safely load, unload, move, and stage materials while following company safety procedures.
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience handling large, heavy, or oversized materials preferred.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and safe forklift operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality with the flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
