Job summary

Silver Star Construction is hiring Highway Construction Flaggers to protect motorists, pedestrians, and crews in active work zones. Training will be provided to become a Certified Flagger, with a focus on safety and reliable performance.

You will direct traffic, set up and monitor devices, communicate with team members, and perform general labor as needed. This is an entry point into the highway construction field, with weekly pay and opportunities for advancement in a safety-first,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Certified Flagger certification (training provided).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable with a commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete company-sponsored Certified Flagger training.
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction work zones using approved flagging techniques.
• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barricades, and other equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with fellow flaggers, equipment operators, and supervisors using radios and hand signals.
• Follow all federal, state, and company traffic control and safety regulations.
• Remain alert to changing traffic patterns and potential hazards.
• Assist with general labor duties when traffic control is not required.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately.
