Job summary

Terminix is seeking a licensed route technician and trainer in Sacramento, CA to provide pest, termite, bed bug, and mosquito control on an assigned route. You will perform Healthy Home inspections and clearly communicate findings and recommended solutions to customers.

The role includes training apprentices, maintaining safety and equipment, and coordinating with the branch to ensure timely service. A high school diploma, at least one year with Terminix, and a valid driver’s license are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of service with Terminix.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate.
• Ability to present information internally and externally.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with various units.
• Able to follow product mixing instructions on labels.
• Maintains required licenses/certificates.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pest control service for existing and new customers on assigned route.
• Complete Healthy Home inspections to ensure efficacy and document issues.
• Explain work performed and recommended solutions to customers; gain commitment.
• Keep vehicle/equipment safe and stocked for routes.
• Manage route scheduling with management and support as needed.
• Conduct classroom/field training to develop apprentices.

Job Summary

Certified under the Terminix Way program as a licensed and experienced route technician and trainer focused on pest, termite, bed bug, and mosquito control services and training others in the Terminix Way

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver timely, safe and effective pest, termite, bed bug, and mosquito control service for each established and new customers on assigned route
• Complete quarterly/annual Healthy Home inspections to ensure continued service efficacy and identify/document any concerning condition
• Advise customers of service work completed, summarize concerning conditions, relate recommended solutions/benefits, gain commitment, and collaborate with other team members on needed follow-up
• Maintain safe and clean vehicle/equipment, and ensure sufficient quantities of product to meet route service needs
• Maintain proactive route schedule management, partnering with management and branch support center as needed for any scheduling interventions
• Conduct classroom/field training to enable growth/development of apprentice technicians and support branch/market priorities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• A minimum of one year of service with Terminix
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate
• Ability to present information in both internal and external settings
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to follow mixing instructions on product labels
• Maintains licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, or local regulations
