Job summary

Shoreline Happy Paws is seeking an experienced dog trainer to lead daily Training Walks across a set local route. You will design and execute training plans for each dog while our team handles marketing, bookings, and client service. You’ll record cue videos and provide clear visit reports after every session.

The role starts part-time with hours growing as the route fills. Pay consists of an hourly base plus per-walk bonuses, with fully insured employment and ongoing CEU support.

Qualifications

• Certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA, KPA CTP, or similar) or in certification process.
• Experience with leash manners, basic obedience, and dogs who react to other dogs.
• Ability to teach and lead workshops for walkers.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-hour Training Walks focusing on leash manners and obedience.
• Run 1-hour Training Assessments and write simple training plans.
• Send visit reports with photos and notes after every session.
• Record cue videos and brief the team to standardize cues and timing.
• Lead team workshops and continuing education for walkers.
