Job summary

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care, training, and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with dogs of all sizes safely.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand and lift training equipment.
• Familiarity with computer systems to manage records.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Petco’s 6-week Dog Trainer Instructor Program.
• Recommend and sell appropriate dog training classes, training and supplies.
• Keep accurate records of training sessions and feedback.
• Work cross-functionally with grooming and veterinary teams for holistic health solutions.
• Provide outstanding guest experiences through personalized recommendations and service.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed to enhance the shopping experience.
• Process cash transactions and support omni shopping.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and promote teamwork.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
