Crisp Regional Health Services is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead the Nursing Home food services team and ensure high-quality meals aligned with safety standards.

You will manage staff, schedule shifts, recruit and onboard new hires, and maintain budgets while upholding HACCP and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with RD, physicians, and IDT is essential for resident nutrition plans.

Formación

• Graduate of Dietary Manager Program (2-year or 4-year food service program).
• Two years of experience in food service management.
• Requires successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees Nursing Home Food Services unit and staff for meal delivery.
• Prepares staff schedules for 24/7/365 resident food services.
• Participates in recruitment and onboarding of food service staff.
• Assists with budget planning for supplies and maintains budget adherence.
• Maintains and updates the Food Services safety plan and HACCP compliance.
• Serves on committees and conducts staff development and in-service programs.
• Conducts probationary and annual employee evaluations with performance feedback.
• Ensures safe receiving, storage, preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transport per HACCP.
• Prepares cleaning schedules and maintains equipment for food safety.
• Ensures proper sanitation and safety practices by staff.
• Processes diet orders and diet changes; updates diet cards.
• Completes MDS section within required timeline.
• Determines resident diet needs with the RD and physician orders.
• Reviews and updates nutrition plan of care with IDT.
• Ensures survey readiness for regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, etc.).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and resident expectations are satisfactory met. Maintain records of expenditures, food supplies, inventory levels and equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Dietary Manager Program, 2-year or 4-year food service program
• Experience: Two years’ experience in food service management
• Licensure, Registrations & Certifications: Requires successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Oversees the Nursing Home’s Foods Services unit, and staff to ensure the preparation and delivery of meals to residents.
• Prepares staff schedules to ensure 24/7/365 resident food services.
• Participate in the recruitment and retention efforts and interviews and selects new food service employees and provides new employees with an orientation specific to the department.
• Assists with budget preparation and planning for supplies, ensures the department operates within the budget and explains variances.
• Maintains and updates the Food Services safety plan and ensures compliance with JCAHO requirements.
• Serves on committees and taskforces as required.
• Provides staff with the opportunities to participate in staff development and regularly schedules in-service programs.
• Prepares and conducts probationary and annual employee evaluations that accurately reflect the employee’s performance during the evaluation period. Provides the employees with a summary of their strengths, areas for improvement and developmental plan.
• Assure safe receiving, storage, preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transportation using HACCP guidelines.
• Prepare cleaning schedules and maintain equipment to ensure food safety.
• Ensure proper sanitation and safety practices of staff.
• Process new diet orders and diet changes, keep diet cards/information updated.
• Complete the assigned MDS section according to required timeline.
• Determine resident diet needs and develop appropriate dietary plans in cooperation with RD and in compliance with physicians’ order.
• Review plan of care related to nutritional status, document concerns that can be resolved, improved addressed to improve resident’s nutritional status and eating function.
• Review, revise, and implement, in cooperation with the IDT, the resident nutrition assessment and plan of care.
• Ensures the continuous survey readiness of all regulatory agencies including Joint Commission, EEOC and other governmental agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
