Job summary

O’Daniel Ford is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our service team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles in a fast-paced dealership setting, with ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Diesel Certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year Fleet or Dealership repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• CDL Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical service, maintenance, and repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Review job orders, diagnose issues, and determine appropriate repair procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical components are inspected.
• Inspect and adjust protective guards, bolts, and safety devices.
• Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation.
• Tag and return all warranty parts according to dealership policy.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
• Build strong, positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction.
• Accurately complete repair orders and follow safety and procedural guidelines.
• Maintain an organized, clean workspace.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned in clean condition.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with guests and colleagues.
• Strive to meet productivity goals set by management.
• Follow manufacturer policies regarding labor operations, documentation, and warranty repairs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Service Management.
