Job summary

Richmond Beverage Solutions, a DFA-owned farm brand, is hiring a lab technician to perform routine and specialized testing of dairy products and ingredients, record results, and maintain calibration and safety standards. You will support production by providing accurate data and ensuring quality compliance.

The role requires 2 years in a lab setting or relevant education, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a wet environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a third shift with

Qualifications

• 2 years of lab experience with HS diploma or 2-year college studies in microbiology/basic chemistry, and/or lab experience
• Pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Able to perform basic math in all units of measure
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to flavor milk-based, sugar-based and caffeine-based products
• Able to stand/walk/kneel/bend for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing as required
• Record and analyze test results, reporting deviations or concerns
• Maintain lab equipment and calibration schedules
• Assist investigations related to product quality or process deviations
• Follow safety, environmental and quality protocols
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the lab and production areas
• Adhere to sanitary procedures and methodologies in food processing quality control
• Standardize mixes and collect line samples
• Form sound conclusions from test results and initiate corrective actions
