Job summary

Blythe Construction seeks an experienced Certified Crane Operator to support bridge and road projects. The role requires operating mobile cranes, performing inspections, and following safety and signaling protocols to manage loads on intense construction sites.

Candidates should have at least five years of crane experience, CCO certification, and familiarity with pile hammers. You will work closely with supervisors to ensure safe, compliant operations across varying weather and site conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; five years+ of crane experience.
• CCO Certification required; rigging and signaling training may be needed.
• Experience with pile hammers (diesel, air, hydraulic) and various crane configurations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various mobile cranes safely.
• Understand crane operation characteristics, controls, emergency skills, and procedures.
• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; use load charts.
• Complete load chart tests across crane configurations.
• Pre-start and post-start inspections; maneuver and secure loads.
• Understand ANSI B 30.5, OSHA and local requirements for crane setups and signaling.
• Set up and configure crane computer systems within limits.
• Coordinate daily site activities with supervisors.
