Role Description The Certified Chimney Sweep is a full-time, on-site role based in Mukwonago, WI. This role includes inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining chimneys and fireplaces to meet safety and performance standards, as well as performing minor masonry repairs as needed. The individual will diagnose issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and complete service reports and documentation accurately. Daily work involves traveling to customer homes, interacting with homeowners, explaining findings and options, and providing courteous, professional service. The role may also support related exterior home improvement tasks and requires adherence to safety procedures, use of proper tools and equipment, and collaboration with the broader Fox River team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with chimneys and fireplaces, including inspection, safety standards, and basic operation.
• Skills in chimney cleaning and maintenance, including safe use of tools, ladders, and equipment in various weather conditions.
• Basic masonry abilities for tuckpointing, repairs, and related structural work on chimneys and associated components.
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism in customers’ homes, and respectful problem-solving.
• Relevant certification as a chimney sweep (e.g., CSIA or equivalent) or willingness to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights safely and consistently.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record for travel to job sites.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship in alignment with Fox River’s standards.
• Experience in roofing, gutters, or related home improvement trades is a plus.
