Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Technician to maintain equipment quality and safety standards. This role focuses on receiving, cleaning, sterilizing, and properly storing medical instruments, with monitoring of sterilizer performance and documentation.
The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year related experience, and HSPA CRCST and/or CBSPD certification.
The Certified Central Sterile Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that equipment consistently meets the highest quality and safety standards. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
Responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming supplies and equipment, performing cleaning and sterilizing duties, and properly handling, processing, and storing essential medical instruments. The technician is also responsible for monitoring sterilizer equipment to ensure it meets performance specifications, including inspection and documentation. Additionally, they prepare packs of supplies, and instruments in Central Sterile Supply.
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) or more year of job related experience preferrered
Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and/or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification
