Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare in Washington state is seeking a Certified Caregiver to join our in-home care team. The role provides personal caregiving services in accordance with an established plan of care and supports clients in activities of daily living in their own homes.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, meds administration under nurse delegation where allowed, and transportation; maintain a clean home; and offer compassionate companionship.

Qualifications

• HS/GED preferred.
• Caregiver license (HCA/CNA) required and renewed annually.
• Ability to comply with BCCU background requirements.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Capable of handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal caregiving services per plan of care.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Prepare meals and adhere to special diets.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as delegated by a nurse and with required certificates.
• Assist with vital signs for informational purposes only.
• Provide transportation to activities.
• Offer compassionate companionship.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: USD $22.88 - $25.95 / Hour

External Job Description

• Provides various personal caregiving services in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provides for the personal needs and comfort of people in their own homes
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Prepares meals and special diets
• Performs general housekeeping activities
• Administers medications to clients that has been specifically trained and delegated by a Delegating Nurse and has completed a Nurse Delegation Core and / or Nurse Delegation Diabetes course with certificate(s) along with current license, proof of FCG or BT
• Passive Range of Motion - requires current credential, proof of FCG or BT, proof of completing annual CE requirement
• Vital Signs - all caregivers are able offer limited assistance to take vital signs for informational purposes only. We do not record vital sign readings
• Provides transportation assistance to and from activities
• Provides compassionate companionship to patients
• Other duties as assigned
