Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Certified Caregiver for an assisted living community in Phoenix, AZ. This part-time role offers an hourly wage and the schedule includes weekend shifts from 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

Your duties include assisting residents with daily living activities, transporting residents to events, responding to emergencies, and reviewing care plans while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Arizona Caregiver Certificate is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience with elderly population preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, personal environment).
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident/visitor requests, and environmental hazards promptly and safely.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans; obtain vital signs.

Schedule: Part-Time.

Saturday & Sunday, 6am-2pm.

Saturday & Sunday, 2pm-10pm

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner
• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans, as well as obtaining vital signs

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• A valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate is required
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
