Job summary

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler is seeking Certified Caregivers to assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily living activities, preserving dignity and quality of life.

Candidates must hold an Arizona NCIA caregiver certificate or be willing to obtain one within 90 days; HS diploma required; prior senior living experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have caregiver certification from an Arizona NCIA board approved caregiver training course or willing to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• Previous experience in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in Senior Living Community preferred.
• High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records vital signs.
• Measures and records height and weight; tracks fluid intake and output.
• Recognizes abnormal changes and reports to supervisor.
• Assists with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and daily living activities.
• Transfers and repositions residents.
• Provides skin care.
• Contributes to assessments and care plans.
• Delivers nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
• Cares for residents with dementia.
• Follows the supervisor's schedule for residents' needs.
• Provides emotional and social support.
• Promotes resident rights, dignity, and informed decision-making.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler is currently seeking Certified Caregivers to assist to residents in the Assisted Living Program and Memory Care with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

*** Must have a caregiver certification through an Arizona NCIA board approved caregiver training course or willing to obtain one within 90 days of hire. ***

Responsibilities:

• Takes and records vital signs.
• Measures and records height and weight. Calculates and records fluid intake and output.
• Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfers, positions and turns residents.
• Provides skin care.
• Contributes to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care.
• Provides nursing rehabilitation /restorative nursing services.
• Cares for residents with dementia.
• Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Promotes and protects resident rights, assists residents to make informed decisions, treats residents with dignity and respect, protects resident’s personal belongings, reports suspected abuse or neglect, avoids the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards and supports independent expression, choice and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
