ABM is seeking a Certified Engineer to support daily operations of building systems at multiple facilities. The role covers HVAC operation, mechanical and electrical systems, and responsive work orders.
The position emphasizes safe, efficient service with union benefits and a swing shift schedule (Mon-Fri 12pm-8pm). The Engineer will perform maintenance across boilers, pumps, valves, air controls and distribution lines, ensuring energy efficiency and reliability.
ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Certified Engineer. The Certified Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, operating, maintaining and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Certified Engineer will also respond to customer requests and submit and close work orders as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: $54.76 per hour
Shift: Swing Shift, Mon-Fri 12pm -8pm

F.CERTIFIED ENGINEER: By passing the standardized certification examination, an Engineer demonstrates their superior knowledge of certain aspects of the trade. The job duties performed by the Certified Engineer, in a safe and efficient manner, are the same as those performed by the Non-Certified Engineer, as those are set forth in Section G.
G.NON-CERTIFIED ENGINEER: In a safe and efficient manner, operates and maintains boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators, air-conditioning facilities and all appurtenant equipment driven by steam, air, diesel, gas, water or any other power-developing energy. Patrols, inspects and maintains all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, piping and plumbing systems and equipment to the end that the most economical and efficient results may be obtained. May effect repairs on toilet facilities, registers, radiators, lights, fixtures, minor repairs on furniture and floors, provided that while standing a watch on a high-pressure boiler installation, they are not required to violate any State, County or City Ordinances, Codes or Laws.
