Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Certified Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors to ensure timely, accurate work and clear customer communication.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, conducting inspections, documenting work, and staying current with factory trainings. Growth paths include Service, Sales, Management, and regional leadership at America’s #1 automotive retailer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store).
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance per the repair order to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend service to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document all work on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of specialized tools not normally stocked by Service.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
