Job summary

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) assists in the operations of the Sports Medicine Program, delivering athletic training services to local high schools and coordinating care with physicians, coaches and athletes to prevent, evaluate and rehabilitate injuries.

Requirements: CAATE-accredited Bachelor's in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training (Master's preferred), GA licensure, NATA certification, and a valid driver's license; BLS CPR is required.

Qualifications

• CAATE-accredited Bachelor’s in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training (Master’s preferred).
• GA State Licensure for Athletic Training and NATA Certification.
• BLS CPR & AED for Healthcare Provider; valid driver’s license.
• One year of experience in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training preferred; knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation and rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to local high schools.
• Collaborate with team physicians, coaches and athletes to prevent, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate injuries.

Duties include, but are not limited to, providing athletic training services to the local area high schools The ATC works with team physicians, coaches, parents, athletes as well as other allied health professionals to prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate all sports related injuries. He/she will promote Hamilton Sports Medicine throughout the community as a quality service of Hamilton Medical Center. The ATC strives to achieve the goals and mission of Hamilton Sports Medicine and Hamilton Medical Center in all daily responsibilities.**Job Qualifications****Education**: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from a CAATE program. Masters Degree preferred. **Licensure**: American Heart Association BLS CPR & AED for Healthcare provider required. Georgia State Licensed for Athletic Training. Nationally Certified by the NATA Board of Certification. Must have a valid drivers license and automobile insurance coverage in accordance with Hamilton Health Care System Driver Requirements policy. **Experience**: One (1) year experience in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of sports related injuries and advanced application of therapy intervention. Skills: AHA BLS CPR Healthcare Provider technique.
