Job summary

HealthWorks is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to serve contracted schools in Morgantown, WV. Per Diem/PRN schedule, weekdays/weekends as needed, with starting compensation at $35/hr based on experience.

Join us to support athletes, coordinate access to care, and promote safe, effective rehabilitation and performance. Duties include applying training techniques, monitoring patient progress, and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Certification with NATA-BOC is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for contracted school athletes and coordinate access to health care.
• Pair coverage needs with availability to create a schedule.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures.
• Promote the company through outreach events and community engagement.
• Implement athletic training techniques including taping, wound care, hydration.

HealthWorks is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Market Coverage in/around Morgantown, WV. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)
