Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support student athletes at contracted high schools, coordinating access to health care as needed.

The position is per diem/PRN with flexible hours; compensation is $35 per hour. Responsibilities include designing rehab programs and providing on-site athletic training services during games and practices for multiple schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

Overview

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our student athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting multiple high schools in the Battle Creek, MI including Lakeview High School.

Position: Certified Athletic Trainer

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Type of Employment: Per Diem/PRN

Schedule: Hours Vary as needed

Compensation: $35/hr

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
