Job summary

RUSH Physical Therapy in Park Ridge, IL, seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support Oakton College athletes and coordinate access to health care for contracted schools. Position: Certified Athletic Trainer - Oakton College. Location: Park Ridge, IL.

Full-time, weekdays and weekends with collegiate ATC hours. Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 per year, DOE. Includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a student debt benefit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree required.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk (taping, wrapping, bracing, hydration, wound care).
• Assess effectiveness of training/rehabilitation and document progress.
• Manage emergencies, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

RUSH Physical Therapyis seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Oakton College in Des Plaines, IL.

Position: Certified Athletic Trainer - Oakton College

Location: 826 W Touhy Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068 (Oakton College 1600 E Golf Rd. DesPlaines, IL 60016)

Type of Employment: Full-timeSchedule: Weekdays/Weekends, Typical collegiate ATC hours

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000, annually, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
