Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an Athletic Trainer to manage and provide care to athletes under a physician or physical therapist supervision. The role spans a wide age range, from children to seniors, and focuses on prevention, correction, and alleviation of injuries in sports and physical activity.

The position requires a degree in Athletic Training, an Ohio license, and current BLS certification (or within 90 days of hire). Prior ATC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree with a major in Athletic Training.
• Possess current Athletic Training license in the State of Ohio.
• Possess current BLS certification, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Professional experience as an Athletic Trainer Certified.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed physician or physical therapist, assumes responsibility for the management and provision of care to an athlete to prevent, correct, alleviate injuries.
• Care covers individuals from children through geriatric populations who participate in sports or activities requiring physical strength, agility, flexibility, speed, stamina, or range of motion.
