Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an athletic trainer, you will provide on-site sports coverage for high school athletic events as well as working part time in our clinic in Staten Island. This role is perfect for a compassionate professional who enjoys working with young athletes and collaborating with coaches, athletes, and physical therapist to support safe and successful sports participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training coverage for home games and designated practices
• Assess, manage, and provide immediate care for athletic injuries
• Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, and healthcare providers
• Maintain injury documentation and follow appropriate reporting procedures
• Conduct assessments to understand patients' pain levels and goals
• Assist in developing and implementing injury prevention programs
• Treat and rehab patients in the clinic part time
• Design and implement treatment plan of care that align with patients' objectives
• Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness
• Educate and monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize results
• Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages patient engagement and retention
