Job summary

Array Tech is seeking a Product Certification Engineer to support certifications and mounting conformance for PV modules. You will coordinate with labs and cert bodies, enabling the product development roadmap and ensuring mounting products fit commercial projects.

The role requires familiarity with UL2703, UL3703, IEC62817, and travel of 10–20%. You will work across product management, civil engineering, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering.
• 1+ years of technical experience in mechanical, structural, electrical/electromechanical fields.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.
• Preferred qualifications: Utility-scale solar market experience.
• Relevant certifications, coursework, or degrees.

Job description

• Reporting to the Product Certification Manager, the Product Certification Engineer will support product certifications and PV module mounting conformance activities.
• Enable implementation of the Product Development Roadmap through successfully managing product certifications.
• Ensure proper application of module mounting products into commercial projects.
• Be familiar with certification standards within the US and internationally (UL2703, UL3703, and IEC62817).
• Coordinate product related certifications with testing laboratories and certifying body.
• Obtain product certifications in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate activities to test and approve mounting systems with module manufacturers.
• Order and maintain parts inventory.
• Support Product Management, Civil Engineering, Application Engineering and Business Development departments.
• Provide module clamp recommendations for Array Tech customer projects.
• Maintain current knowledge of Array’s product portfolio, including new product introduction programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering)
• 1+ years of technical experience in mechanical, structural, electrical/electromechanical fields
• 3+ years of computer experience expressly in Microsoft Office
• Good aptitude for electrical, mechanical and structural components
• Ability to travel occasionally (10-20%)
• Preferred qualifications: Experience in utility-scale solar market
• Relevant certifications, coursework, or degrees
• Familiarity with SolidWorks.
