Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Community in Longview, TX is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to deliver high-quality resident care on-site. You will support daily living activities, assist with care plans, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.

The role requires a Texas Nurse Aide Certification, a High School diploma or GED, and at least one year of related experience. Expect lifting, mobility assistance, and standing for long periods as part of routine duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Texas Nurse Aide Certification required.
• Minimum one year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs continuously to move and assist residents.
• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods (75% of shift).

Responsibilities

• Make frequent resident rounds to check comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures, and state/federal laws.
• Assist with execution of the prescribed health care plan.
• Provide care including bathing, feeding, oral care, and ADL support.
• Perform cleaning/sanitary tasks for equipment and spaces.
• Accurately document ADLs and intake/output in charts.

We are seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our community committed to delivering outstanding patient care to our residents. As a CNA, you will play an important role in providing physical and emotional support and assistance that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

• Make frequent resident rounds on a regular basis to check the physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness of residents.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
• Assist with the appropriate implementation of the prescribed health care plan.
• Provide excellent, safe services in care and treatment including: bathing; feeding; oral care; intake of food; dressing; care of hair, nails; moving residents from area to area; responding to calls, etc.
• Provide broad range of cleaning/sanitary services, including: emptying and/or cleaning of urinals, commodes, bedpans; showers, wheelchairs and other equipment, timely and proficiently.
• Accurately and timely document Activities for Daily Living (ADL’s), intakes and outputs and other appropriate information on charts
