Job summary

System Support is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in Ohio to perform respiratory assessments, administer therapies, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes compliance with Ohio respiratory care laws and institutional policies.

The CRT will educate patients and families, document findings, and contribute to a positive patient experience. The successful candidate will hold an Ohio license, NBRC CRT credential, and BLS/ACLS within 90 days; PALS/NRP

Qualifications

• Applied Science degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care.
• Ohio Respiratory Care License and NBRC CRT credential; BLS and ACLS within 90 days.
• PALS and/or NRP within 6 months of hire, per facility requirements.

• Perform respiratory assessments and administer therapies.
• Evaluate, test, educate, and communicate with patients and families.

Job description

The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The CRT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The CRT will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to promote a great patient experience. The CRT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License, Valid Certified Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care), BLS, ACLS within 90 days
• PALS and/or NRP certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability per facility requirements.
