St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer for our Sports Medicine & Athletic Training department located within the Edgewood hospital/OP.
This position provides athletic training services within assigned outreach programs, delivering comprehensive medical coverage focused on the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and management of athletic injuries and illnesses. Responsibilities include coordinating appropriate post-injury care, managing referrals and return-to-play protocols, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication of care plans. The Athletic Trainer collaborates closely with athletes, parents, coaches, physicians, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. Additional duties include assessing and implementing bracing, taping, and equipment needs, participating in staff education and performance improvement initiatives, and supporting sports medicine programs through concussion management, pre-participation physicals, research projects, physician extender activities, and other outreach initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
