Qualifications

• One year tutoring or instructional/work experience in two- or three-dimensional art labs, galleries or portfolio art classes.
• Associate's Degree in Art or 60 semester units (90 quarter) with 18 art units.
• Equity-minded focus and ability to foster inclusive educational environment for diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical duties for safe operation of ceramic, metal technology, and sculpture labs; manages supplies, tools and chemicals.
• Loads and fires kilns; assists students in safe operation of lab equipment.
• Assists in preparing programs/materials; supports faculty with syllabi and visual aids.
• Participates in community outreach and high school recruitment activities.
• Maintains Art Resource Room and lab storage areas; assists with portfolio documentation.

Education

Associate's Degree in Art or 60 semester units (90 quarter units) with 18 units in art courses
