Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks an entry-level Process Engineer to join the Environmental Technologies team in upstate New York. You will assist in designing, developing, testing, and optimizing advanced ceramic substrates and filters to meet evolving environmental standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to implement innovative material solutions and support product development goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ceramic, materials, or chemical preferred).
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Material Development: Assist in the design and development of ceramic materials for specific applications.
• Testing & Analysis: Conduct material testing, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical analyses, to evaluate properties and performance.
• Process Optimization: Support the improvement of manufacturing processes for ceramic materials, including forming, sintering, and machining.
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated on advancements in ceramic materials and contribute ideas for innovative solutions and applications.
• Data Collection: Collect and analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and document findings to support product development and project goals.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure materials meet required specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, scientists, and technicians to achieve project objectives and troubleshoot issues.
