Job summary

Oregon State University in Corvallis is seeking ten part-time Undergraduate Learning Assistants to support courses in Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography and Geospatial Science, Geology and Oceanography. ULAs collaborate with faculty and graduate TAs to foster active learning on campus.

Applicants must be enrolled as degree-seeking undergraduates at OSU and have relevant coursework in the listed disciplines.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at OSU with prior coursework in Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography and Geospatial Science, Geology, or Oceanography.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.

Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill 10 part‑time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs) for the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). Undergraduate Learning Assistants work with faculty and graduate teaching assistants as undergraduate peer mentors to implement active learning environments in courses in Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography and Geospatial Science, Geology, and Oceanography.

Successful applicants will be contacted as positions become available. Applicants must be enrolled as degree‑seeking undergraduate students at OSU for consideration with prior coursework in Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography and Geospatial Science, Geology, or Oceanography.

Position Duties

• Required Prior coursework in Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography and Geospatial Science, Geology, or Oceanography.
