The role collaborates with the Materials Manager, departments, and vendors to ensure timely availability of essential supplies.

The position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and adherence to hospital safety policies. Weekend availability and the ability to lift and move supplies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in healthcare materials management or related fields preferred.
• Healthcare hospital experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to count, document, receive, store, and distribute supplies.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical departments, vendors, and coworkers.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and transport supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: maintain PAR levels, monitor stock, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate records.
• Receiving & Distribution: inspect and store incoming supplies, verify against PO, and fulfill departmental orders.
• Purchasing & Supply Chain Support: assist with purchasing, communicate shortages, and document activities.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: follow policies, ensure patient safety, report recalls, and support audits.
