Job summary

Providence Swedish First Hill is seeking an inventory/materials handler to conduct physical inventory, enter data in the MMIS, and generate pick tickets. You will pick, deliver, and stock materials across patient care and ancillary areas, rotating stock using FIFO logic for dated and non-dated items.

The role supports a hospital supply chain, with duties across multiple MSC inventory locations and on-site work in Seattle.

• 1 year of recent experience in a Supply Chain environment utilizing a computerized Materials Management Information System.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical inventory of supply areas and uses the MMIS to enter data and generate pick tickets.
• Accurately picks items listed on pick tickets and delivers/stocks materials to various supply areas.
• Rotates stock in MSC Inventories and other locations on a first-in/first-out basis for items without expiration dates.
• Rotates stock on an earliest expiration date first-out basis for items with expiration dates.

Accurately picks items listed on pick tickets. Responsible for delivery and stocking of materials to the various supply areas. Stocks materials from warehouse to clean distribution areas. Rotates stock in MSC Inventories, FH ED or Issaquah Campus and on par levels on a first-in/first-out basis for all items that do not have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. Rotates stock in MSC Inventory and on par levels on an earliest expiration date first-out basis for all items that do have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of recent experience (within the past 5 years) working in a Supply Chain environment utilizing a computerized Materials Management Information System.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Inventory and supply distribution management courses.
• Forklift certification upon hire.
• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc.).
