Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to perform decontamination, preparation and sterilization of trays and instruments, manage inventory and data entry. The role requires familiarity with department locations and strong communication.

Full-time, on-site position at a Northern California hospital that is part of Prime Healthcare. Previous Central Sterile experience and certifications are preferred to ensure quality patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsabilités

• Decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments.

Responsibilities

The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry and patient charge card batching. Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• Central Supply Certified certification required
• Central Supply Certified certification required within two years from date of hire at designated facilities
