Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our rotating per diem team at NYP facilities in New York City. You will prepare surgical trays and supplies in a safe, policy-driven manner under supervision, supporting Main and Ambulatory Operating rooms as well as IVF and other units.

Location is on-site in New York, NY with a minimum commitment of 1-2 shifts per month. Salary is $36.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) credential required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical trays and supplies following policies and procedures.
• Assist in Central Sterile Supply for multiple operating areas; rotate shifts.

Join our team as a Central Sterile Technician, working alongside NYP Central Sterile Technicians in providing sterilization services to for both the Main and Ambulatory Operating rooms as well as In Vitro Fertilization, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, Interventional Cardiology units.

Central Sterile Technician - Central Sterile Supply - Per Diem - Rotating. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surgical trays and supplies in a safe and cost-effective manner using established policies and procedures under the direction of the Patient Care Director/Supervisor. This is a per diem day flex position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. You will be required to work a minimum of 1-2 shifts/month.

1. Preferred Criteria Prior Central Sterile experience
2. Required Criteria High School Diploma of GED Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST)

Salary Range: $36.75/Hourly
