Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join the Sterile Processing team in Anchorage. You will ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for procedures, supporting safe, high-quality care across the OR suite.

Responsibilities include sterilization cycle monitoring, tray preparation, waste handling, and collaboration with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and ensure efficient operations.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
