Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support all steps of instrument preparation. You will sterilize, assemble and store medical supplies and equipment, ensuring instruments reach case carts in a timely manner.

Collaborating with Perioperative Nursing staff, you will help maintain workflow and provide dependable service while upholding safety and quality standards. CST certification or equivalent experience may be required; general education is essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program is required.
• If CST certificate is not held, 3 years of Central Sterile experience is required.

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.
• Maintains consistent and continuous workflow and provides superior customer service.

Work Experience

• 3 years of Central Sterile experience Required or
• No experience required if incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification Required

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician Preferred or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
