Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our sterile processing team. You will decontaminate, prep and sterilize trays and instruments, maintain inventory, and enter data for patient charges.

Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential for this role. Two years’ experience in a hospital setting is preferred; HS diploma required; BLS and Central Supply certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of Central Sterile trays and instruments.
• Inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Computer data entry and patient charge card batching.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations and effective communication.
