Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking an OR technician/central supply technician in New Jersey to perform washing, sterilizing, packaging and monitoring of instruments, ensuring clean and ready equipment for procedures.

Typical duties include maintaining records, interpreting indicators, and assisting OR staff with locating and reprocessing instruments, while following established policies and procedures and maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous operating room technician or central supply technician experience preferred.
• Surgical instrumentation/equipment decontamination and sterilization knowledge required.
• Excellent customer service, initiative and ability to work independently with strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Wash, inspect, package and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate monitoring records and interpret indicators.
• Assist OR personnel in locating and reprocessing instruments.
• Follow policies and procedures and participate in improvement activities.
