Job summary

National Jewish Health in Denver, CO is seeking a centralized service support associate to handle inventory, customer inquiries, and clerical tasks. This role emphasizes accuracy and timeliness to support Central Services operations.

Job description

Position Summary

Provides departmental support for Central Service and maintains general office operations to meet the needs of Central Services. Serves as Central Service direct liaison to various internal and external customers.

Essential Duties
  • Delivers exemplary customer service as the first point of contact for the department regarding inventory supplies and other Central Services inquiries.
  • Delivers and maintains par levels for general and clinical inventory items.
  • Identifying inventory issues, shortages, counts, expirations, and working with management to update par levels.
  • Answering, screening and routing phone calls, taking messages, and assisting incoming caller with inventory questions and directing them to the appropriate areas.
  • Assists internal customers who come to Central Service with inventory supply requests.
  • Assists with Scanning, Renaming, and Attaching documents in computer system.
  • Responsible for Code Cart review on a monthly basis. Ensures all items are within expiration dates and notifies Central Service Manager when items are going to expire in order to reorder supplies in ample time.
  • Assists Central Service Manager with various computer entries into PeopleSoft and other systems as determined.

  • Provides backup coverage for staff absences and vacancies; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
  • Work Experience: 1 year of experience in a hospital or related organization preferred. Knowledge of computer systems used for inventory control and patient charging preferred.

Salary Range

$19.29 - $23.79
