Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Central Service Dispatcher to ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment from Sunbelt stores in accordance with company and DOT standards.

You will coordinate road mechanics and schedules, monitor maintenance, review logs, and work with multiple stores to meet customer equipment needs. The role requires high school education, DOT regulations knowledge, and the ability to lift 50 pounds, with progressive training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Education is required.
• Knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is expected.
• Customer Service & Dispatch training is a plus.
• Two years of experience with construction/industrial equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of the delivery area is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch Road Mechanics to service equipment efficiently.
• Create and monitor road mechanic schedules.
• Create and monitor equipment receipt and maintenance schedules.
• Review driver logs per company and DOT standards.
• Perform daily truck inspections.
• Collaborate with other stores to meet customer equipment needs.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues.
• Provide timely feedback to Regions/PCs on delivery/receipt of equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Central Service Dispatcher. As a Central Service Dispatcher, you will ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment from/to customers and other Sunbelt stores in accordance with company and DOT standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Central Service Manager in the following: Coordinating and ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of Road Mechanics so they can efficiently service equipment
• Creating and monitor road mechanic’s schedules.
• Creating and monitor receipt and maintenance schedules for company equipment.
• Review daily and weekly driver logs in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Perform daily truck inspections in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Work closely with other store locations in order to assist them in meeting their customer’s equipment needs.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner in order to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer and Sunbelt Rentals.
• Report problems to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner and follow-up to ensure problem resolution
• Provide adequate feedback to the Region or District PC’s regarding the timely delivery and receipt of equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Education
• Working knowledge of the DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Customer Service & Dispatch training a plus
• At least two years prior knowledge of the applications of various construction/industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of the delivery area.
• Able to effectively communicate.
• Lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel.
• Sit or stand for long periods of time

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Base Pay Range: $56,304.00 - 77,418.00 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
