SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job): Schedules primary and specialty care appointments accurately and efficiently in conformance with applicable guidelines to facilitate quality patient care. Updates systems to ensure that scheduling information is accurate and up to date.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Customer service experience having worked in office setting or call center environment preferred. Experience in conducting intakes and/or scheduling patients preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong customer service skills, good communication and organizational skills. Medical Terminology preferred.
Special Training: Basic insurance carrier, pre-certification knowledge, and basic computer skills preferred.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Ability to deliver excellent customer service. Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment.
