Job Description :

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for Central Processing Technician eligible full-time positions! The amount of the sign-on bonus depends on your years of Central Processing experience.

• $5,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – no experience necessary
• $7,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience, with certification
• $10,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – more than 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves receiving, cleaning, distributing, and storing medical instruments and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances, and equipment. (30%)
2. Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments and equipment. (30%)
3. Performs and documents quality assurance testing and inspection on stock. Manages inventories and reorders supplies. (30%)
4. Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent education and experience.
• For Central Service Technicians hired after 12/29/2020: Employees practicing central sterile procedures before this date are exempt from certification requirements but must:
• Pass a nationally accredited central service exam within 18 months of hire
• Maintain certification as either a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)

Preferred:

• Sterile processing or hospital setting experience
• Enrollment in a surgical tech / sterile processing program
