Job Description :

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for Central Processing Technician eligible full-time positions! The amount of the sign-on bonus depends on your years of Central Processing experience.

$5,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – no experience necessary

$7,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience, with certification

$10,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – more than 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves receiving, cleaning, distributing, and storing medical instruments and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cleaning, disinfecting, decontaminating, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances, and equipment. (30%)
2. Receiving, stocking, packaging, and distributing medical instruments and equipment. (30%)
3. Performing and documenting quality assurance testing and inspection on stock. Managing inventories and reordering supplies. (30%)
4. Proper disposal of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Central Service Technicians hired after 12/29/2020: Employees practicing central sterile procedures before this date are exempt from certification requirements but must pass a nationally accredited central service exam within 18 months of hire and maintain certification as either CRCST or CSPDT.

Preferred:

• Experience in sterile processing or hospital settings.
• Enrollment in a surgical tech / sterile processing program.
