Job summary

Park City Surgery Center is seeking a detail-oriented Central Processing Technician to join our orthopedic surgery team. You will ensure patient safety by decontaminating, assembling, inspecting, packaging and sterilizing instruments and trays for daily surgeries.

Responsibilities include operating autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, maintaining documentation per AAMI and AORN standards, coordinating instrument turnover with OR staff, managing inventory, and rotating shifts from 6:00 AM to 8:30

Qualifications

• CRCST certification required and sterile processing experience preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic or ambulatory surgery settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with AAMI and AORN standards is desirable.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Central Processing Technician to join our high-performing team at a busy Orthopedic Surgery Center with 4 operating rooms. Our center delivers outstanding patient care in partnership with The Orthopedic Partners, Intermountain Health, and Surgery Partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
• Maintain documentation in accordance with AAMI and AORN standards
• Ensure accurate and timely instrument turnover for scheduled surgeries
• Maintain appropriate inventory and notify leadership of any supply or equipment concerns
• Communicate effectively with OR staff to meet surgical demands
• Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM

Qualifications

• Certification (CRCST or equivalent) required
• Previous sterile processing experience, ideally in an orthopedic or ambulatory surgery setting
• Strong working knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention standards
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Team-focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
