AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, is seeking a Sterilization Tech to join the full-time day shift. You will sterilize instruments, assemble trays, and help maintain a clean, safe perioperative environment

Responsibilities include documenting procedures, training participation, and adapting to unit needs. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to support hospital operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.
• Technical/Vocational School.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes instruments following established protocols.
• Participates in in-service education programs and training.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Assembles instrument trays accurately.
• Documents procedures and maintains thorough records.
• Ensures all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.
• Collaborates with team members to support hospital operations.
• Stocks patient care equipment efficiently.
• Handles specimens properly and ensures their correct disposition.
• Reviews and recommends changes to policies and procedures.
• Floats to other units as needed based on patient and census requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Returns sterile instruments to their proper location.
