Job summary

At Henry Ford Home Infusion, our professional staff are dedicated to providing quality individualized home infusion and nutritional management services. Services are ordered by a physician and offer a safe and effective alternative to hospital treatment and allow patients to resume their normal work activities and lifestyle in a more-timely manner.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision of the Leader of Central Intake, is responsible for:

  • Intake of new referrals by phone, fax and/or computer.
  • Enters referral demographics into computer.
  • coordinates insurance coverage with the Billing department
  • Assists with coordination of care.
  • Routinely interacts with physicians, nurses, case managers and the general public regarding the coordination of patients' transitions of care and ongoing care in the home.
EDUCATION:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • College level coursework in business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of intake, customer service or billing experience.
  • Home Health Care intake or billing experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of medical coding and medical terminology required.
  • Advanced computer knowledge, keyboard experience and Microsoft Office experience required;
