Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Center Store Specialist to ensure freshness, pricing accuracy, and merchandising across Dairy, Frozen, Bulk, Coffee, Candy, and Beer & Wine. You will uphold inventory integrity and guest engagement while maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities include executing planograms, coordinating with leadership on ordering and replenishment, and verifying deliveries. You will support front-end operations during peak times with a friendly, helpful approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, grocery, restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Attention to detail, organization, multitasking and fast pace.
• Must be 18 years or older.

About the Position:

As theCenter Store Specialist, you will be the store’s point person for excellence across key center store categoriesincluding Dairy, Frozen, Bulk, Coffee, Candy,andBeer & Wine. You will ensure product freshness, pricing accuracy, and merchandising compliance while supporting inventory integrity and guest engagement. This role embodies passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork,delivering an exceptional guest experience whilemaintainingoperational standards.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure allCenter Store categories meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and datingand temperaturecompliancefordairy and frozenitems.
• Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of dairy, frozen, bulk, coffee, candy, beer and wine.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpfulapproach whenon the sales floor.

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Physical and Work Conditions:

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law).
• Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
