Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time team member to stock shelves and support the store’s daily operations. You will help with receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise, and ensure products are rotated and displayed properly for customers.

You will follow safety and food safety guidelines, maintain clean departments, and assist in other areas as needed. Prior retail experience is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is desired.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and interpreting documents are required.
• Basic mathematical skills are needed for counts and rotations.
• Attention to detail is important for stock and displays.
• Retail or related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise in the back room.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on the sales floor.
• Notify the manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity with products and locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well stocked departments.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to work independently to display and stock products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know the product locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred
• Retail or related experience preferred.
